Recap

Al Davis played against the Tampa Bay ownership's need to aquire his young coach and netted two first round picks, two second round picks and money. He then proceeded to install Gruden's deputy as the new Raiders head coach. The move paid off and Al's team returned to the Superbowl. However it also worked out for Tampa Bay because their new fiery coach took them to the show too.

The Raiders got there behind a powerful ariel assault that ranked #1 in the league. Some of the credit for which belonged to Jon Gruden but however under Callahan it became more aggressive.

Tamp got there by defense - a defense built by former head coach Tony Dungy. Gruden's offense wasn't an equal partner in the endeavour to get to the big game but was effective enough to get them there.
