A freight train in the disguise of a backup running back just for the Minnesota Vikings just ran over the Oakland Raiders ' defense. Should we be surprised? Given everyone does not really. Our defense needs a major upgrade in the run stopping division if they ever hope to be competitive again. Dante Culpepper was awful again. Holding onto the ball, throwing it to teh wrong places and then just to add insult to injury throwing the perfect pass to make you salivate over what could be if only. I really don't want to see this guy in a Raider uniform again. I think Josh McCown should be benched too.

And the Raiders need a series intervention in order to kick their losing habit. Leading 6-3 with just over four minutes remaining and they give up big play that gives the Bears the lead then a sack and fumble results in a second score and a 17-6 loss.

Josh McCown takes to the field as the Raiders starter again but the result is the same as the last three games - a loss. Justin Fargas played well enough as the starting running back and his 100+ yard game whilst admirable was not enough to put a W on the board for the Raiders .

From first to last in very quick fashion including two in division loses to the Chargers and Chiefs. This week we lose to the Titans.

We lost in the trenches on both sides of the ball. We lost the game on quarterback play and Young completed just six passes for forty-two yards. We lost the game because once again the defense could not stop the other team's running back.

Until we can force teams out of running the ball down our throats and get consistent production from an offense and in particular a quarterback we'll be losing more games.

The three way split between the Oakland Raiders , Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs was broken this weekend and by virtue of being the only team of the three not playing (and losing) the Raiders are left on top on the division alone.

Denver gets obliterated by San Diego at home. Mile High is no longer the safe haven they once had.

Kansas City almost gets shutout at home by the Jaguars. Something that is completely unheard off.

Leaving the resting Raiders to give thanks for their good fortune on this the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Now the next step is up to them. They must now beat a team from their own division - San Diego - and maintain their position atop the division. If they can then follow that with an win over the Chiefs then winning the division and a play off spot is real possibility.
