Congrats to Huff on becoming a Raider and too all the sites that correctly predicted the choice.

NFL Smackdown (from 12th March) Posted: March 25, 2006, 8:17 pm
A little later than the other drafts I posted but thought I'd add it anyway (note it's before the Brees' signing by the Saints). It also doesn't seem to recognise that the Raiders lost the coin toss and are now picking 7th.

1. Texans : Reggie Bush, RB - USC
Unless some team knocks the Texans off their feet with extra draft picks, it's Bush

2. New Orleans : Matt Leinart, QB - USC
Saints will need to solidify their offensive line play for him to be successful

3. Tennessee : Vince Young, QB - Texas
Will sit on the bench for probably 2 years and learn from McNair

4. NY Jets : Brickashaw Ferguson, OT - Virgiina
Best OT in the draft and it's a priority for the Jets. Also, Mario Williams is a possibility

5. Green Bay : Mario Williams, DE - NC State
The guy is a beast and he's in the Julius Peppers, Jevon Kearse mode

6. Oakland : AJ Hawk, OLB - Ohio State
He's the best LB in this draft and he has the quickness to make plays off the edge

7. San Fran : Michael Huff, DB - Texas
Versitile DB, who could player CB or Safety, he will probably be start out at corner

Our Lads (mock from 25th March) Posted: March 25, 2006, 8:04 pm
1.
Reggie Bush, Southern Cal
Rare prospect goes #1.

2.
D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia
Pairs up with Jamaal Brown.

3.
Matt Leinart, Southern Cal
Rejoins Norm Chow.

4.
Mario Williams, North Carolina St.
Makes up for Abraham loss.

5.
A.J. Hawk, Ohio State
Run stuffing warhorse

6.
Michael Huff, Texas
Best DC/S combination in the draft.

7.
Vernon Davis, Maryland
Mismatch at all receiving positions.

This mock is also interesting in that it does not contain Vince Young.

East Coast Sports News (23rd March) Posted: March 23, 2006, 8:53 pm
The most recent draft from East Coast Sports is as follows:

HB Reggie Bush (USC)
Bush is the pick unless the Texans are involved in a Draft day trade.

(TRADE (from New Orleans)
QB Matt Leinart (USC)
The Jets send their second in '06 and their third in '07 to the Saints in a Draft Day Trade to move up and take the QB that they covet Matt Leinart.

QB Jay Cutler (Vanderbilt)
The Titans wanted Leinart but weren't willing to part with their second round pick to make the move up since their third round pick went to the Bills for Travis Henry.

(TRADE (from New York Jets)
OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson (Virginia)
The Saints are happy that they found a trading partner to move down and still land the Prospect they were targeting.

DE Mario Williams (No Carolina State)
The Packers have a tough decision..Hawk or Williams.

TE Vernon Davis (Maryland)
The Niners have a tough decision but decide to pass on Hawk for a player that will help their offense and Alex Smith in the process. Davis is an elite TE Prospect.

OLB A.J. Hawk (Ohio State)
Cutler is the pick if he's on the board...but Al is elated to land Hawk.

Matt Leinart - Two Minute Drill Posted: March 21, 2006, 7:42 pm
Matt Leinart's USC is down by three points against Notre Dame with a minute and fourty seconds to go. Watch the drive that wins the game for the Trojans.

East Coast Sports News (21st March) Posted: March 21, 2006, 7:27 pm
1. Houston Texans - HB Reggie Bush (USC)

Bush is the pick unless the Texans are involved in a Draft day trade.

2. New York Jets TRADE (from New Orleans) - QB Matt Leinart (USC)

The Jets send their second in '06 and their third in '07 to the Saints in a Draft Day Trade to move up and take the QB that they covet Matt Leinart...the Jets aren't sure about Pennington's arm and acquired Patrick Ramsey as veteran insurance...the Jets will still have a second round pick in this Draft (Atlanta's pick # 47) if they complete the trade with the Falcons involving John Abraham.

3. Tennessee Titans - QB Jay Cutler (Tennessee)

The Titans wanted Leinart but weren't willing to part with their second round pick to make the move up since their third round pick went to the Bills for Travis Henry.

4. New Orleans TRADE (from New York Jets) - OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson (Virginia)
