The offficals made a big splash in this years big game. Giving a touchdown when it was clear too all but die hard Steelers fans that the ball did not cross the line. They then followed that up by reviewing the play and still giving the touchdown!

One more poor call saw a touchdown taken away from the Seahawks by the officials on a questionable offensive pass interference call. Reverse thoose two calls and the score is somewhat different but all I can say to the Hawk fans is welcome to the club. Raider fans have been on the blunt end of this kind of stilted play calling for decades with no sign of it stopping.

John Madden Voted Into the Hall Of Fame
John Madden who is better known these days as an iconic television presenter and the name on the box of EA's video game has finally been elected into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame.

Under coach Madden the Oakland Raiders won 103 regular season games and 9 postseason games in ten years including a victory in Super Bowl XI. He did this coaching against teams coached by men that would turn out to be Hall Of Fame calibre coaches (coaches such as Chuck Noll, Don Shula, Hank Stram, Tom Landry, George Allen, Paul Brown, Weeb Ewbank, Sid Gillman and Bud Grant).

During his tenure with the Raiders they made the playoffs eight of ten seasons including seven appearances in the AFL/AFC Championship game (five of which where consecutive from 1973-1977).

Madden becomes the 17th former Raider to enter the Hall Of Fame.

Al Davis Talks With Mike Martz
The NFL Network's Adam Shefter is reporting that former Rams head coach Mike Martz visited with Al Davis today. Shefter however confirms that the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Whisenhunt is still the Raiders ' number one candidate.

So could Al be sounding out Martz as a possible offensive coordinator? Or a plan B in case he can't get the deal done with Whisenhunt?

Conference Finals
34 17

The only time the Broncos where in this games was early on when Champ Bailey had a chance at an interception but it turned into a completion for the Steelers and a first down.

14 34

Another game that wasn't even close with the Seahawks scoring three times in thier first four posessions (two off interceptions).

So this years Superbowl will feature the Steelers and Seahawks in Detriot.
