2003/4 AFC WEST

Denver

The Broncos biggest changes this offseason are the departure of Ray Rhodes too the Seattle Seahawks and the arrival of Jake Plummer to replace the out of favour Brian Griese. Is Plummer an upgrade? I don't think so myself but time will tell.

Well Plummer certainly does appear to given them a boost. Oh well at least we've got Mirer.

Kansas City

The crybaby coach remains in charge and the offseason's biggest question is still unanswered. Is Priest Holmes going to be healthy for the 2003 season? If he is they might be a contender.

Holmes and the KC offense is top notch but it's defense is suspect. The Raiders found out in the Superbowl that a suspect defence and a top offense doesn't win championships. So will the Chiefs if they get that far.

San Diego

The loss of Butler to cancer was a huge blow to this franchises future but the team he put in place should be a contender for teh division title this year if they can find a way to avoid the meltdowns that have cursed them the last couple of seasons.

San Diego is just plain awful this season after making some strides towards improvement the last couple of seasons. If the Raiders continue to lose players to injury then SD might be able to sneak out of the cellar but it's not likely.
